Rainbow Paints League and The Presidential Netball Cup trophy champions, Kukoma Diamonds’ coach Griffin ‘Zagaro’ Saenda has said he wants to beef up his squad as they are looking forward to defend titles they won in the just ended season.
Zagaro’s team finished the 2018 League unbeaten, and also defeated Blue Eagles Sisters to win the Presidential Cup, but still more he thinks his team can be more offensive if they can sign at least three players.
“Of course, we are still a force to reckon with because of the players we signed during that time [Escom Sisters’ era]. Over the years, the likes of Bridget Gawaza have broken into the team but we just need three new players for them to learn from senior players. So far, we have a defender and shooter we are nurturing for the task ahead,” he said according to a leading local Newspaper.
Saenda who also coaches the national team has proved to be a top coach on the land, and his absence due to illness in the 2017/18 season was felt as Diamonds were defeated by Blue Eagles to clinch the Presidential Cup.
