United States side, North Carolina FC, has yesterday officially confirmed the loan move for one of Malawi’s enterprising midfielders, Yamikani Chester, after he accepted a move to MFK Vyskov, a third-tier league side in Czech Republic.
The 24-year-old signed a three-year-deal from Be Forward Wanderers for an amount in the region of K22.5 million last week, and his move has been confirmed on North Carolina’s official page.
According to the page, the team’s Head Coach Dave Sarachan, confirmed about his transfer, and commended his skill.
“Yamikani came to us and I know his representation are people we trust.
“When I watched him on tape, his quickness and speed and his ability to run with the ball and beat players stood out. I don’t think you can ever have enough of those players who have that quality in the final third. From what we’ve seen, he has the potential to be an electric player for us,” Sarachan said.
Meanwhile, Chester becomes the second signing for the US side, and was announced together with another forward Austin Panchot, and the post on the team’s page suggests that both players are waiting for a federation approval.
“North Carolina FC has strengthened its 2019 roster with new signings midfielder Austin Panchot and forward Yamikani Chester. Both moves are pending league and federation approval,” the post reads.
