Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho, has refused to give a team news update to the team’s Television ahead of an English Premier League game against inform Arsenal today at Old Trafford.
United are hit with a number of injuries, especially in defense, with the likes of Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly expected to miss out again after missing last weekend’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Southampton, in which left back Luke Shaw also limped out of the game in the closing stages.
The Manager refused to give an update saying the visitors [Arsenal] do not give such updates either.
“I don’t want to update you. I would like Arsenal TV to ask the same questions but they don’t, they hide everything from the inside, so why should I answer to you?”
It has taken a month now since United won a Premier League game, and Mourinho’s men are seventh on the table, eight points adrift of Unai Emery’s Arsenal who are fourth in the standings after their convincing 4-2 win over fierce rivals Tottenham Hot Spur in the North London derby.
However, the 55-year-old told MUTV that his team will adapt despite revealing that he will face difficulties in building the team.
“We are going to be in difficulty again to build the team.
“We are again going to have to make adaptations and compensations to try to give some balance to the team.
“But then I believe we are again going to have the spirit to fight and to try to win the match,” Mourinho said.
Man UTD will again host Fulham at Old Trafford this coming Saturday.
