The full list for the goal 50 awards has finally been revealed and Luka Modric has been voted as the World’s best, while Cristiano Ronaldo has seconded him, followed by Mohammad Salah.
Modric, 33, won the UEFA Champions League last season with Real Madrid, and also managed to finish as runners up at this year’s FIFA World Cup with Croatia in Russia, and won Best FIFA Men’s Player of 2018 Award at the World Cup.

Second placed Ronaldo has been piped for the award in which he would have won it for the third successive year.
Ronaldo led his club, Real Madrid to a third successive UEFA Champions League trophy as Modric, and scored a record breaking bicycle kick goal in the quarter-final of the competition against his current club (Juventus) scoring 15 goals in the process, and also had a stellar World Cup with Portugal, the greatest achievement in the competition being scoring a hat-trick against Spain in the first game.
Third best, Mo Salah, enjoyed an incredible debut season at Anfield, breaking the Premier League record for goals across a single campaign by netting 32 times.
The Egyptian international, Salah, scored 10 goals in the UEFA Champions league, but sustained an injury in the final of the competition, and his club, Liverpool, failed to make it and were beaten by 3 goals to one.
The top 20 of the 50-man shortlist includes the following: Modric, Ronaldo, Salah, Mbappe, Messi, De Bruyne, Varane, Kane, Griezmann, Marcelo, Kante, Hazard, Pogba, Kroos, Godin, Umtiti, Cavani, Mane, Isco and Ramos, respectively.
