All hopes on Malawi under 23 Football team in U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)  match against Botswana after defeating them in Gaborone from one goal down last Saturday.

The Flames youth team, led by TN Stars coach, Meke Mwase, will play the Zebras at Kamuzu Stadium tomorrow, Tuesday 20 November, 2018 after thumping them by two goals to one away in Gaborone.

The prices for the game have yesterday been set by Football Association of Malawi and the following are the charges: Open stands priced at K1, 000, MBC stands at K2, 000, Covered stands set at K3, 000 while VIP stands costs K5, 000.

The win in the first leg in Botswana came courtesy of two late goals, which came in a space two minutes from 83rd minute substitute Hassan Kajoke, who plays for Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves and Gregory Nachipo, who plays for Blue Eagles.

The goals came after Botswana took the lead through Mothusi Johnson’s header in the 60th minute of the game after substitute Brian Mankaku’s well struck free kick.

As it is, the overall winner after tomorrow’s game will face Zambia under 23 in another two legged tie for a spot at next year’s championship.

Meanwhile, the senior team has failed to make the cut in AFCON after a 2-1 defeat to Comoros Islands, which has seen them drop to the bottom of group B of the competition.
