Sponsor of one the local teams in the Chitetezo Mbaula League popularly known as Hangover United, Fayad Jussab, has said that his vision is to see the team making it into the Super League.

He said if the team makes it to the super league things will improve in terms of games bonus and salaries for the players.

“The decision to sponsor football came in because l have always been loving football and it is something that l have always wanted to do and my dream came true when a friend of mine asked me if we can start a local team.

“It is when we started a social team and we joined the first division in 2013 and since then we have been improving that. In 2015 we ended up on position eight, and in 2017 we came third and now we are on position five in the Chitetezo Mbaula ,” he said.

When quizzed to say if there are facing any challenges, Jussab said currently there are no challenges saying that everything is going well.

He thanks everyone who has been supporting the team since it started six years ago saying that he hopefully believe that they will carry on supporting the team in the near future.

Jussab also said that currently they are spending a substantial amount of k1.5 million annually which includes game bonus and salaries for the team.

Hangover United is the only team from the lower division which finished in Carlsburg Cup semifinals, where they lost to Be Forward Wanderers, after beating Blue Eagles and Moyale Barracks.

The team is currently on the 5th position with 52 points in 27 games, and is 15 points adrift of leaders, Ntopwa FC who have played 3 games more.

This weekend; on Saturday, they will play Chikwawa United, and on Sunday, they will play Chilomoni FC.
