Spanish giants, Real Madrid, are plotting a massive swap deal that could see Chelsea winger Eden Hazard move to Real and Gareth Bale go to the Premier League side in January.
It appears that the Los Blancos are willing to lure the North London side for their enterprising midfielder by offering Bale plus cash, according reports from OK Diario.
Hazard signed at least five-year deal worth 200, 000 pounds per week at Chelsea in 2015, keeping him at the Bridge until 2020, whilst Bale’s contract runs until 2022 and he receives 350,000 pounds per week at Real.
This season, Hazard really looks more hazardous in the EPL than the previous years, scoring 7 goals in 8 games, taking his side to second in the standings, as compared to injury prone Bale who has only managed to net 4 times in LaLiga this season, taking his side to fourth in the league.
It looks like the search of a Cristiano Ronaldo replacement, who left for Juventus during the summer transfer window, has now began at Madrid, and for them Hazard is looking more of CR7’s caliber.
The swap deal seems to be part of an effort to slim the wage bill and create room for Hazard’s salary.
Hazard has in recent weeks disclosed that it is his wish to play for Real Madrid in future, but not a switch during this January transfer window.
Nonetheless, it remains to be seen if Chelsea would manage to afford the Welshman’s [Bale] huge contract.
