Be Forward Wonderers has maintained its prolific form by beating TNM relegation threatened Dwangwa United by 4 goals to 1 yesterday in Carlsberg Cup at Kamuzu Stadium just 3 days after a 3 nil win over Blue Eagles.
A strike partnership of Zicco Mkanda and Peter Wadabwa upfront was phenomenal as it caused trouble for Lloyd “Azolo” Nkhwazi’s side as Wadabwa threatened to score just after two minutes into the game from an Isaac Kaliyati super struck cross from the right flank.
Precious Sambani (left back) emerged as the man of the match for the TNM Super League defending champions, scoring 2 goals; the first one in the 69th minute and the other in the 90th minute of the match, just after Zicco Mkanda had scored after 5 minutes and Peter Wadabwa in the 56th minute.
In the 77nth minute Dwangwa pulled a consolation goal through Ganizani James to make it 4-1.
The win comes after fellow giants Bullets also pounced on both Changalume Barracks and Kamuzu Barracks by 6 six goals to nil in Carlsberg cup and TNM Super League, respectively.
This means Dwangwa United is out of Carlsberg Cup.
Meanwhile, Wanderers are through to the quarter-finals and will face Tigers on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
