Malawi national netball team headcoach Griffin Saenda has released his 12-member squad for the 2018 African Netball Cup championship to be hosted in Lusaka, Zambia.
The squad consists of some old guards Towera Vinkhumbo, Takondwa Lwazi, Jessica Sanudi, Laureen Ngwira and Joyce Mvula among others.
Saend has also blended in some young players as he embarks on a rebuilding exercise.
Among the casualties who have been dropped are veterans Sindi Simtowe and Carol Mtukule-Ngwira.
Though he has faith in his squad, Saenda is wary of Uganda and Kenya. The Queens have previously lost two games to Uganda and the recent being at World Netball Cup in Australia.
The squad is expected to leave this weekend.
During preparations for the competition, Queens twice beat Sri Lanka 71-51 and 76-48.
