Nyasa Big Bullets started their 2018 TNM Super League campaign on high note after beating Kamuzu Barracks 1-0 at Civo Stadium on Sunday.
Just from the first whistle the People’s team led by Chiukepo Msowoya and Bright Munthali upfront looked so deadly.
The team pressed the soldiers from left and right and no wonder the team got an early goal through a header by Chiukepo Msowoya five minutes into the first half.
Bullets managed to hold to the slender lead and first half end 1-0 in favour of the peope’s team.
Come second half, it was the home side that threatened in the opening minutes, with Fransisco Kamdzeka forcing Kakhobwe into early action when his effort was saved for a corner.
Moments later, Dave Banda released a thunderbolt just outside Bullets’ box which caught Kakhobwe napping in the line of duty but the former Tigers goalkeeper made amends by saving the situation.
Although this was the case, Bullets resurrected and controlled the proceedings and the game end 1-0 in favour of the visitors.
Speaking an interview after the game Nyasa Big Bullets Team Manager James Chilapondwa hailed his boys playing to instructions.
On his part Coach for Kamuzu Barracks Temwa Msuku accepted defeat.
