No Mwai Kumwenda in final Queens’ squad to Fast5

Despite the pressure from all influential quarters to recall international shooter, Mwai Kumwenda after being sent back for reporting late to camp, Malawi Queens’s coach Mary Waya has left her in final named squad to take part in Fast5 World Netball Series scheduled for October 28-29.

The international shooter was sent back from the camp by Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) for reporting late in the camp has been replaced by Diamonds top shooter Alinafe Kamwala
In the squad, many changes have been noted where only 10 players out of 20 who were in the camp have been chosen, on the centre where for the first time Kukoma Diamonds most experienced and match-maker star Bridget Kumwenda has also been dropped.

After missing a number of national assignment for close to two-years Malawi Queens defence pillar Caroline ‘Ayuda’ Ntukule Ngwira is now back again in the team.
The Queens is expected to leave the country on October 22 2017 for Melbourne, Australia for the tournament.
