Cameroon win 2017 African Cup of Nations

What seemed to underdogs in tournament turned out to giants on Sunday, February 5 to lift the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in Gabon, as Cameroon beat Egypt 2-1.

Indeed ball is round, the Egyptians have got it right now, Goals from Nicolas N’Koulou and Vincent Aboubakar sealed a remarkable comeback victory for Cameroon as the Indomitable Lions were crowned African Cup of Nations winners with a 2-1 win over Egypt.

Aboubakar’s brilliant finish with two minutes left came just as extra time seemed a certainty at the Stade de l’Amitie in Libreville, Gabon.

Mohamed Elneny had given Egypt the lead midway through the first half but Nicolas Nkoulou equalised just before the hour mark prior to Aboubakar’s winner.

It is the fifth time Cameroon have won the Cup of Nations and first since 2002.
